Good afternoon Mt Bethel families,

Tonight is the last night to order your autographed copy of The Marvelous Now by Angela DiTerlizzi before she visits our Kindergarten and First Grade students on Sept. 30. Link to order is below!

MBES is *going GOLD* this Friday, September 12th for Childhood Cancer Awareness month, and we encourage all Mt. Bethel students to wear GOLD to school on that day. More information is below in the newsletter!

The East Cobber Parade (aka candy parade) is taking place this Saturday, September 13th at 10 AM. We will be recognizing our Teacher of the Year, Ms. Heather Mullins, and our Classified Employee of the Year, Ms. Megan McHale. Come out, catch some candy and join us for a great community event!

🍬 The East Cobber Parade 🍬

The 2025 EAST COBBER Parade & Festival, will be held on Saturday, September 13th at 10 AM. The annual parade aims to build a sense of community and reinforce East Cobb County’s status as one of the best places to live in the metro Atlanta area.

Floats, high school marching bands and East Cobb groups will march down the one-mile parade route. Starting at 10am, the parade participants will step off in front of the Princeton Lakes subdivision entrance.

We will be recognizing our Teacher of the Year, Ms. Heather Mullins and our Classified Employee of the Year, Ms. Megan McHale. Come out, catch some candy, and join us for a great community event!

Award winning children's book author, Angela DiTerlizzi, will visit MBES K & 1st Grade students on 9/30! Get a SIGNED copy of her latest book delivered to your child!

⭐️ MBES is Going GOLD! ⭐️

Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is observed annually during the month of September to raise awareness for pediatric cancer as well to honor the children and families affected by it and to promote funding and research.

Mt Bethel PTA will highlight some of our Bravest Buccaneers (current & former) throughout this week, as well as introduce you to some organizations that have been especially meaningful to their families. Be on the lookout for posts about these incredible children and their families' charities of choice on our Social Media accounts this week!

Additionally, in observance of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, MBES will be *going GOLD* this Friday, September 12th, as we encourage students, staff, and family members to wear GOLD in support of those who have bravely fought and those who are currently fighting pediatric cancer.

Support our Sister Schools!

Please help Powers Ferry and Norton Park Elementary Schools stay healthy by sending in donations of these items on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week (September 16th & 17th). Your help really makes a difference for these students!

Looking for YOUR ideas!

Mt. Bethel PTA is looking for some outstanding student-led initiatives to fund and help implement. Submit your ideas now! All submissions are due by 11:59 pm on Oct. 5th.

Lunch Room Helpers Needed

Come alone, or grab a friend -- we can always use an extra set of hands at lunch time!

Big Buccaneer Bravos to these awesome men who kicked off our first Dudes on Duty for the school year! They brought the energy and started this fun program out with great momentum!
