Bring YOUR Standards to Life!

The Mt Bethel PTA is proud to fund a program which allow’s each grade level to create their own exciting and engaging in-house educational experience for their students! This exciting opportunity allows teachers to examine what they already teach in the classroom and envision ways to expand it into meaningful and memorable programs for their students. Some examples of former funded opportunities included speakers, performers, visits from experts in the field or hands-on experiences that helped capture the students' attention in a new and engaging way.

Second grade Buccaneers can look forward to Native American Day which is program provided by “Bring YOUR Standards to Life!”. Leading up to Native American day, the students make beaded shirts and belts with their class. Then the students experience a half day where they rotate through various centers that are organized and created by a real Native American Chief. The Chief also comes to Mt Bethel and teaches the students about the culture, games, lifestyle and so much more! Native American Day is an immersive experience aligned with the second grade standards that the students learn from, remember and truly enjoy!
